And then the Irish talk about hypocrisy! Thierry Henry did not get caught, and if you’re not caught; then fair play! It’s not like this has happened the first time in history either. And I find it particularly amusing that people are talking about recession in Ireland, and how they would have benefited from World Cup qualification; and then the Irish minister comes out and says there was injustice by the footballing authorities: the minister should shut up about injustices, and let the footy people do their talking; he should do something to fix the recession in Ireland. I could talk about numerous things during the game, such as Evra’s penalty dismissals in Dublin; or Anelka’s in Paris etc. Anyways, the British media is so hypocritical: if Rooney or Gerrard (one of the worst divers in the game) cheat, they are labeled as heroes. If a foreigner does it, he’s a cheat. Very convenient.
I know that Ireland is not included in Britain. However, they are still sympathetic towards them as compared to other ‘foreigners’. Also, don’t forget the Irish laughing when the ‘hand of “God”‘ denied us in 1986.

In belgium overhere two tennisplayer got a year (!) supstpension cause they made a mistake with there whereabouts bud it was a mistake and they nebver tested positibve or anything. For one of them it was even the fault of the system plug inn that not worked!
comparing to them what Henry did is a lot worse!
If they suspend those two tennisplayers for a year they may ban henry for 3 years for me!
jeez Ireland NT, and fans let it go already france won and lets move on. ok if Ireland was so good then why were they so desperate for that 1 goal? and if they were good then why did they finish 2nd in group and got themselves in that situation? so in all fairness, they should be thankful that France won and the better team qualified. dont forget, France is the only team to beat Brazil 3 times in world cup since 1986. im not despising ireland and sure they’re a great team. and the run down the line by Damien Duff that led to the goal was the nicest of all 3 goals scored in their series, but whats done is done and Ireland needs to be good sport and give this 1 to France.

I will agree with the government should shut up about it and fix our problems which are becoming worse Here is my truth : let the media moan all they want but you can’t honestly say that france should deserve to go to the world cup however I will agree we all cheat sometimes and we can leave Henry slide we should only blame the match officials and the current rules we follow put two umpires behind the goal or have a tv official for important decisions because quite frankly the game has turned into “cheats and dives” and to fix them we need to add new rules if we want to redeem soccers title of “The Beautiful Game”
