Eating out

Compared to the rest of Europe the living costs in Dublin are pretty high. So whoever has the option to buy some cheap stuff in a super market and prepare food at the hostel can safe a lot of money. But if you still want to eat out you’ll have no other option but to fall back to the usual fast food restaurants or snack bars.

An alternative to classical fast food chains like McDonald’s and Burger King is Eddie Rocket’s City Diner which impressed us by their lovely service. The interior is based on the America of the 1950s and therefore convey a very warm and cozy atmosphere. Be sure to read the menu card carefully as there are lots of jokes and cocky remarks in it.

We can definitely recommend the classy cheeseburger but also the spiced chicken meals with varieties of different fries, for example cheese fries with melted cheese on top. Bad for your fitness but lovely for your tongue.
