Question by : please help me here. thanks?
i am a foreigner studying in a university here in dublin. i am just curious as i have made some irish friends(never in my life did i have any friends of the western culture since i am asian and also an introvert all my life). i am 20 years and i am curious to know about these irish friends of mine of this age group…what is their sex life like? do the majority of the students have sex outside marriage or only a minority? is it considered to be a normal thing to have sex at this age group/outside marriage…im asking also because i am very much into an irish guy and of course he is very much decent, mature, responsible, shy etc..but i wonder if he actually does have a sexual history as though he is shy, no-nonsense etc, it may be considered normal in the culture to be sexually active etc…so i am just wondering and am curious. i am in UCD anyway and we are mostly 20 years. thanks.

I’m afraid that you’ll have to ask him. But if you’re not particularly close to him, then it would be a tad inappropriate.

Many Irish people have had some sort of sexual experience by the time they are 20, but not everyone.

Question by Princess of the Realm: Anyone on here from Ireland today?
How are ya doing? If I vacation in Ireland what is the best time of year to do so? And where should I start my vacation? North? South? Dublin?

Unfortunately you can never be guaranteed good weather in Ireland coz sometimes it rains in the middle of summer lol but June July Aug would prob be your best bet for a bit of sun. Depends what kind of holiday your looking for, Id try fly into Cork or Shannon and do the South West, Cork, Kerry etc, Fab beaches and scenary and pleny tourist attractions. Try www.ireland.ie

I don’t know why you have added this question in Travel Australia although you obviously are living in Dublin, Ireland. Anyhow cheap visa-free holidays might be offered to Morocco or to the South Sinai tourist resorts of Egypt for a two-weeks stay.

A visa would be needed for all of Europe for a citizen of the Philippines who legally resides in Ireland. The only exception would be Kosovo, a land-locked country of former Yugoslavia, not recognized by the majority of UN countries, which grants all holders of tourist vouchers a visa-free entry.

I hear Alan M was a professor! Any of his ex-students on here?

Question by R – G: I hear Alan M was a professor! Any of his ex-students on here?
Irish historian 2001-2009
Professor of Irish history Dublin University 1997-2005

I’m a little confused as to which university he lectured. since “Dublin University” doesn’t exist. There’s Dublin City University, & University of Dublin – however, if you were going to be informal, you would call U of D after its only college, Trinity.

I also can’t understand how he could have been “Professor of Irish history” 4 years before he became an “Irish historian”. I’ve heard of on the job training but that seems a little, well, hard to believe.

Well I’m a historian and I can safely say that he was not a prof (Not that any of us believe that anyway)

Alan M claims to have written several books on a particular topic. However to the best of my knowledge there is only one book written on it and it was written before his sojourn into historical research.

I can also say that none of the professors in Dublin Universities specialise in his “area”.

don’t ring sky, you’ll be transferred transferred transferred and it’ll cost you a bomb. Try Services, and go from there. Don’t have the remote in front of me so not 100% sure
